I'm please to share that my work was published in the May/June publication of The Textile Art Magazine - Embroidery. As part of winning the Embroiderers Guild (The) and Brother UK Ltd sponsored embroidery competition called 'Machine Made'. In which I was loaned the Stellaire 2 Brother digital embroidery machine. To experiment with and push the boundaries of. In this issue I gave an update of the pieces I had created so far and my other plans for the machine. As well as a snipit into my favourite elements of the Machine, to which there was plenty!

To stop feeling puzzled about it, let's break it down. 🧐 Laser engraving is like a super-precise pencil, burning designs into materials with amazing accuracy. Sublimation? That's a bit like a tattoo for objects, where ink becomes part of the item, giving you vivid colors that last. 🌈 Want to create something that's one in a million? Peaco*ck Advent Day 2 🎄 Today we're looking at the history of printmaking and its origins which dates back some 2000 years."The history of printmaking began in Han Dynasty China. The earliest known example, a woodblock print on silk, has been dated sometime during the Han Dynasty from 206 B.C. to 220 A.D. The first print on paper was made during the seventh century. The original form of printmaking used a small wooden board as the matrix. Carving away from the wood would create negative space on the print after the ink was transferred onto fabric or paper. When the Chinese introduced movable type sometime between 1041 and 1048 and improved on the design over the coming centuries, bookmaking became much more possible and versatile. Since then, printmaking has spread throughout the world, serving many purposes and artists over the centuries."Read more about the origin and history of printmaking via Tribeca Printworks - https://lnkd.in/ewFb49ut

A sand eraser, commonly referred to as a silica eraser, possesses a textured design that causes it to degrade paper more rapidly than a standard eraser due to the abrasive nature of the sand. Some artists, particularly those working on thick paper, prefer this type of eraser when occasional removal of ink is required. While these erasers are crafted to eliminate ink by eroding the paper, they prove suitable when working on adequately thick paper that will be subsequently adorned with paint, ink, or another artistic medium. In such instances, the abrasive quality of the eraser is deemed acceptable for achieving the desired artistic effects.#officesupplies #factoryrecord
